NS Electronics
Vehicle Electronics Service Agreement and Repair Authorization
NS Electronics 5229 King Ave West, Unit C1 Billings, Montana
This Vehicle Electronics Service Agreement and Repair Authorization ("Agreement") establishes the terms under which NS Electronics ("NS Electronics," "we," "us," or "our") performs diagnostics, repair, installation, programming, modification, removal, troubleshooting, or other services on a customer's vehicle, equipment, or accessories.
By signing this Agreement, approving a work order, authorizing work electronically, or leaving a vehicle or equipment with NS Electronics for service, the customer ("Customer," "you," or "your") acknowledges and agrees to the following terms.
Section 01
CUSTOMER AUTHORITY
The Customer represents that they are:
The legal owner of the vehicle or equipment submitted for service; or
An individual legally authorized by the owner to approve diagnostics, repairs, installations, modifications, charges, and testing.
The Customer agrees to provide accurate ownership, contact, vehicle, and service information.
If the Customer is acting on behalf of another person, business, fleet, dealership, insurance company, or other entity, the Customer represents that they have authority to bind that party to this Agreement.

Removal of aftermarket wiring
Test operation of electrical accessories
Road testing when reasonably necessary
Temporary installation of known-good components
Other standard diagnostic procedures
Diagnostic labor is chargeable whether or not the Customer ultimately authorizes a repair.
Payment for diagnostics compensates NS Electronics for technician time, equipment use, testing, research, inspection, and troubleshooting. It does not guarantee that every fault can be conclusively identified.
Section 04
DIAGNOSTIC LIMITATIONS
Modern vehicle electrical systems may contain complex interconnected modules, communication networks, proprietary software, encrypted data systems, intermittent faults, prior repairs, undocumented modifications, and vehicle-specific programming.
Accordingly, the Customer acknowledges that:
Some electrical faults may be intermittent and may not occur while the vehicle is at the shop.
A diagnostic procedure may identify one fault while additional faults remain hidden.
Repairing one problem may expose another previously masked problem.
Some failures cannot be conclusively identified without replacing or repairing a suspected component.
Manufacturer documentation may be incomplete or unavailable.
Aftermarket equipment may not have reliable technical documentation.
Obsolete or discontinued systems may not be repairable.
Replacement components may require programming, initialization, synchronization, or dealer-level access.
A diagnostic conclusion may change as additional information becomes available.
NS Electronics does not guarantee that an initial diagnosis will identify every present or future fault.
Section 05
ESTIMATES AND AUTHORIZATION
When practical, NS Electronics may provide an estimate before performing additional repair or installation work.
Estimates are based on the information reasonably available at the time and are not guarantees of final cost.
Additional conditions discovered during service may require:
Additional labor
Additional parts
Wiring repair
Connector replacement
Programming
Fabrication
Disassembly
Correction of previous workmanship
Removal of damaged hardware
Additional diagnostic time
NS Electronics will seek additional authorization when reasonably practical before materially exceeding an approved estimate.
Minor variations reasonably necessary to complete an authorized repair may be performed without obtaining separate authorization when permitted by applicable law.
The Customer may establish a maximum authorization amount in writing.
Section 06
LABOR CHARGES
Labor is billed according to the current NS Electronics labor rate, flat-rate service price, quoted installation price, or other pricing stated on the applicable work order or estimate.
Labor charges may include time spent:
Diagnosing
Installing
Removing equipment
Repairing wiring
Researching technical information
Accessing components
Reassembling the vehicle

Complex or poorly documented aftermarket systems may require significantly more diagnostic time than standard installations.
Section 07
MINIMUM CHARGES
Certain services may be subject to a minimum diagnostic, inspection, installation, or service charge.
The minimum charge applies to technician time and shop resources used to inspect or diagnose the vehicle, even if:
The problem cannot be duplicated
The Customer declines further work
No failed part is found
The issue is caused by an unrelated system
The system is determined to be non-serviceable
Repair is not economically practical
Applicable minimum charges will be disclosed through the work order, estimate, intake documentation, posted shop policies, or other customer communication.
Section 08
